Watercolours

I was encouraged to start sketching from life by a friend and teacher of mine who lives in Britain. I’ve been lucky to have a pen pal who sends me his work and encourages me to draw more!

I do most of my sketches when I’m on the go and try to sketch from life. My travel kit includes a couple of my art staples: A pocket watercolour sketchbook and my travel watercolour set from Winsor & Newton, a couple of Pentel mechanical pencils (the .5 and .9 are my favourite) and Micron pens for the line work. It’s a super fun practice and my kit is small enough that I can take it with me everywhere.
